Join the Fight for Quality Care on February 7!

District 1199C Healthcare workers are fighting for quality care. Don’t let Hahnemann Hospital reduce the quality of patient care by eliminating Certified Nurse Aides. Think about this if Hahnemann I allowed to eliminate Verified Nurse Aides, Registered Nurses would have to take on nurse aide duties. Now ask yourself, would you want to be in the hospital under these circumstances?

Join the fight before it’s too late, before other hospitals follow Hahnemann’s lead and reduce patient quality care. Join us. Demand Hahnemann do the right thing in our community.

WHEN: Tuesday, February 7, 2012, 3 p.m.

WHERE: Hahnemann Hospital

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr., a champion of civil rights, economic justice and freedom for all, was opposed to war and poverty, and a staunch supporter of the working class in general and unions in particular. Dr. King was killed in Memphis while supporting the struggle by sanitation workers there for dignity and economic justice.

A coalition of unions, activists, and the Occupy Philadelphia Labor Working Group has organized a Martin Luther King Day rally to commemorate Dr. King's legacy on Monday, January 16th, 2012. We invite you to join your brothers and sisters in the postal unions at 5 pm outside 30th St. Station for a march to the main Post Office at 30th & Chestnut to protest potential job cuts at the USPS.
