This website has been created with you and your continuing education in mind. Here you will find all the information you—and your family—will need to get the most out of belonging to our union.

You as a member of this union, are the future of this union. Part of that future will include using the available technology to advance ourselves and our mission. This website is dedicated to each of you. Use it to make yourself and your family stronger, to keep the union strong and it’s presence felt now and in the future.

By simply clicking on the appropriate links on this site you can read a copy of the contract that governs your work location, or learn who your delegate is and how to contact her or him if you have questions or concerns. In addition, you can use this the Related Links section of this website to visit other related and relevant websites. You may also download grievance reports ands grievance forms.

Not so long ago, there were few unions and no laws sanctioning collective bargaining. There were no job safety standards, no paid vacations, no sick leave policies and no retirement plans. Hiring and firing, promotions and layoffs were all at the sole discretion of the employer.

It took a lot of nerve for employees to stand up for these rights in those days, but stand up they did and today we all enjoy the results of their efforts. Take a moment to think about the long history of the trade union movement in America. In fact visit the About 1199C section of this website to read about our own proud history and our place in the great pantheon of the trade union movement in America. Then look to the future. Look to yourselves for you are the future of our union.

We encourage you to call or email the District office with your comments and questions about this website. We encourage you to get involved—use this website, attend meeting, ask questions, organize.
